Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Took my elderly mother who has some mobility issues and the "shed" was superbly fitted out for her needs. The views are spectacular with the wall of glass - looking out over towards the Fovant Badges (look them up!) and a field with some friendly lambs. Could easily have stayed there the whole time but did go out to some lovely places too - Stourhead, Ansty farm shop and the Riverbarn restaurant to name a few. The kitchen had every utensil you could possibly need and there was a gas BBQ in the garden as well. Gillie was very fThe riendly and helpful too. Thoroughly recommend for anyone not just for people with disabilities.

Our stay in The Calf Shed

We both absolutely loved our stay in the newly refurbished Calf Shed. Gillie has worked her wonders combining the best of modern with the intrinsic style and character of the building. The photo album illustrates what vision it took for the transformation. The views of the Downs and the famous Badges are incredible. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we did not want to leave! We will be back.....

Wonderful New's Year break

We stayed at the Calfshed after Christmas 2017 and up until 6 January 2018. We were so lucky to have found this beautiful property on the internet. It was just what we needed. I could wheel around freely, shower easily and I loved the warmth! At this dark time of year in Finland, the light coming into the calfshed was extremely welcome and we loved the view and watching the changing cloudscapes over the downs. It was a shame the path was so muddy so I didn't have much chance to wheel around the lane. But we made up for that with lots of trips out, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Bath and Bradford-upon-Avon. My partner's family in the UK all came over and at one stage we had as many as 16 people in the living room. The 2 tables made this really easy too. This really is a lovely property. We hope to be back sometime!
